Description
Opportunity:
RN - Open Heart
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour night shifts in the CVICU/Open Heart PICU
• 30-bed unit with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:1 for ICU and 1:2-3 for intermediate care
• 3 years of nursing experience required with pediatric cardiovascular preferred but not required
• Adult cardiovascular RNs will be considered
• Must have 1 prior travel assignment and EPIC experience
• Floating required within ICU cluster (NICU, PICU, Burn PICU) with travelers floating first
• Every other weekend required with manager/scheduler driven scheduling
• Holiday coverage required as needed with no on-call responsibilities
• 2-3 days of orientation and specialty testing required
• Required certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS
• Must test negative for nicotine and pass fit testing
• Flu vaccination required with no exemptions
• Arkansas license or Compact license required
• Strict dress code must be followed
• Care for patients with congenital heart defects, heart failure, cardiac transplants, and dysrhythmias
• Work with patient population ranging from neonatal to adult with average stay of 15 days
• Use equipment including Pyxis, GE, Servo, and ECMO systems
• 24/7 intensivist support and dedicated code team available

The hospital maintains high standards of care with 24/7 intensivist coverage, dedicated code teams, and specialized programs including child life and education services for long-term patients.

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
