Description
Opportunity:
RN - PICU
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour night shifts in the PICU
• May occasionally float to NICU, CVICU, IMU, or Burn ICU as needed
• Floating is required within the ICU cluster and travelers are first to float
• Every other weekend schedule required
• No on-call responsibilities, but holidays are required as needed
• Schedule is manager/scheduler driven
• 3 years of recent PICU experience required
• Previous travel experience (1-2 assignments) required
• Recent EPIC EMR experience required
• Active Arkansas or Compact License required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Must pass fit test with no facial hair unless for religious beliefs
• Must test negative for nicotine
• Expect 2-3 days of orientation and specialty testing
• Follow facility dress code requirements
• Nurse-to-patient ratios: PICU 1:1-2, IMCU 1:3-4
• Work with EPIC EMR and Pyxis medication system
• Care for patients with respiratory distress, CRRT, ECMO, post arrest, trauma, neuro conditions, surgical post-ops, and various pediatric specialties
• Collaborate with CNA/PCT support (1-2 per shift), residents, fellows, and attending physicians

Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
