RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Registered Nurse - CVOR

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Days during the week will vary depending on unit needs - block schedule not available
• Call requirements mandatory for all travelers in cardiac surgery with 3 layers of call available 24/7
• Call requirements vary every 6 weeks in addition to 3 x 12-hour shifts
• Must be able to scrub and circulate cardiac surgeries
• Minimum 2 years CVOR OR experience required
• Prior travel experience required
• Provide care for complex CABG/valve/repeat cardiac procedures, heart failure, ECMO, VAD, heart and lung transplant, PTE, cardiac trauma, and adult congenital cases
• Adult patient population only - no pediatrics
• May float between operating rooms but not between locations
• Interview required with manager to offer process
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
• Complete COVID vaccine series or valid exemption required by start date

This major academic medical center features over 1000 beds and operates a comprehensive 56-bed operating room suite for both inpatient and outpatient procedures, plus 5 procedural rooms. As a Level 1 trauma center, the facility provides advanced cardiac surgery services and maintains separate adult and children's hospital operating rooms. The organization is renowned for its complex cardiovascular procedures and specialized programs including heart and lung transplantation.
