RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Registered Nurse - CVOR

Job Details:

• Work four 10-hour day shifts per week from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• Days during the week will vary depending on unit needs - block schedule not available
• Days off on a rotational basis
• Weekend call rotation per 6-week staff schedule once established
• Weekend call runs Saturday 6:30 AM through Monday 6:30 AM (48-hour period)
• May be required to work late to finish cases
• Minimum 2 years CVOR experience required
• 2 years pediatric experience required
• Circulating experience required
• Prior travel experience required
• Level I trauma hospital experience in similar setting required
• Required certifications: BLS, PALS
• Patient population: Ages 0-18 (possibly adults)
• Work with surgical patients across all services including eyes, general, orthopedic, neurology, ENT, urology, plastics, and burns
• May float to any unit where competent to work (excluding cardiac and GI services)
• Hospital-provided scrubs through linen services
• Orientation dates: 4/13, 4/20, 4/27

This 300-bed pediatric hospital features 16 operating room beds and provides comprehensive perioperative services specializing in cardiovascular and other surgical procedures. As a Level I trauma center, the facility handles complex cases and maintains high standards for surgical care across multiple specialties including ophthalmology, general surgery, orthopedics, neurosurgery, ENT, urology, plastics, and burn care for pediatric patients.
