RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work day/night rotation shifts with 36 hours per week guaranteed
• On-call responsibilities required
• Care for medical variety of patients rather than surgical patients
• Manage patients with acute or chronic illnesses including sepsis, infectious processes, acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease, diabetes, and GI issues
• Handle fluid/electrolyte imbalances, alcohol withdrawal, liver disease, substance misuse, and endocarditis
• Treat patients with heart disease, skin/wound issues, and respiratory illnesses including COPD, flu, pneumonia, and Cystic Fibrosis
• Work with adult cystic fibrosis patients requiring admission to Medical Specialties unit
• Required experience with chest tubes, various tubes, and medication drips such as Diltiazem, heparin, Lasix, insulin, or amiodarone
• Must be experienced with lines/tubes/drains for post-surgical patients
• Handle trachs/laryngectomies and telemetry monitoring
• Manage complex wounds and central line care, maintenance, and blood draws
• Work on units with 36 beds (1 East) and 25 beds (2/3 East)
