RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Post Anesthesia

Job Details:

• Work day/night rotation with variable start times of 0700, 0800, 0900, 1000, 1100, and 1900
• Care for patients following various surgical procedures including vascular, general, thoracic, gynecology, neurosurgical, orthopedic, and transplant surgeries
• Handle high acuity, high volume PACU environment with controlled chaos in evenings
• Manage ventricular drains (ICP monitoring patients go directly to ICU)
• Work with arterial lines and central lines
• Must be familiar with vasoactive and sedative drips
• Care for patients with chest tubes and tracheostomies
• Manage overnight PACU boarders including ICU craniotomies, step down, and med surg patients
• Handle frequent surgeries including carotids, AAA repairs, esophagectomy, craniotomy for tumors, neurostimulators, moderate radical neck procedures, kidney transplants, and Whipple procedures
• Previous ICU and/or high acuity PACU experience preferred
