Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Varied work schedule assignment
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• Current, valid RN license in state of practice required
• Minimum one year experience in acute care hospital setting required
• Experience must include working in acute care setting within past 12 months as a Registered Nurse in specialty area
• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document nursing care of patients
• Assess patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge planning needs
• Formulate and implement plan of care including discharge planning
• Provide direct patient care, coordination, delegation and supervision of health care team activities
• Document assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in patient records
• Delegate appropriately and provide nursing supervision to other licensed nurses and personnel
• Evaluate patient and family response to care and teaching
• Participate in unit or facility shared leadership activities
• Interact with physicians, patients, families and external contacts regarding patient health care
• Physical demands include ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach frequently
• May be required to lift up to 75 pounds
• Must maintain clinical performance competencies appropriate to work area
