Opportunity:

RN - NICU

Job Details:

• Work a varied schedule in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document nursing care for neonatal patients
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments including physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge planning needs
• Formulate individualized plans of care utilizing assessment data and collaborate with multidisciplinary team members
• Implement care through direct patient contact, coordination, delegation and supervision of healthcare team activities
• Evaluate patient and family response to care and teaching, revising care plans as needed
• Document all assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation activities in patient records
• Provide evidence-based care and may participate in research activities within clinical practice
• Mentor and precept other staff members when appropriate
• Must possess current valid RN license in state of practice or compact RN licensure
• BLS certification required
• Minimum one year experience in acute care hospital setting required
• Must have worked in acute care setting within past 12 months as Registered Nurse in specialty area
• Bachelor's degree and professional certification preferred
• Must maintain clinical performance competencies through annual validations
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and use proper body mechanics for patient transfers
• Must use standard precautions due to exposure to blood and bodily fluids
