Opportunity:

RN - CVOR

Job Details:

• Varied work schedule with call required
• Assist physicians with advanced cardiovascular surgical procedures including cardiopulmonary bypass/heart-lung machine use
• Support trans-esophageal echocardiogram studies, cardiac output assistive devices, and vascular access and interventions
• Perform and interpret various cardiac and vascular lab tests
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for cardiovascular patients
• Document patient assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation in patient records
• Delegate and supervise activities of healthcare team members
• Provide direct patient care based on physician orders and nursing plan of care
• Must possess current valid RN license in state of practice
• BLS certification required
• Minimum one year RN experience required
• New operating room nurses must complete Perioperative Academy curriculum within first year
• Must maintain clinical performance competencies through annual validations
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and use proper body mechanics
• Must use standard precautions due to exposure to blood and bodily fluids
• Professional certification preferred
• One year operating room and/or cardiovascular or vascular experience preferred
