Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Work in intensive care unit with a varied work schedule
• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document nursing care of ICU patients
• Utilize specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills for critical care
• Assess patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge planning needs
• Review patient history and physical with patient/family within appropriate timeframe
• Monitor diagnostics and laboratory data and report abnormal results to physicians
• Formulate comprehensive care plans including discharge planning
• Implement care plans through direct patient care, coordination, and delegation
• Provide nursing supervision to other licensed nurses and personnel
• Evaluate patient and family response to care and teaching
• Document assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in patient records
• Participate in unit shared leadership and staff education
• Must possess current, valid RN license in state of practice or compact RN licensure
• BLS certification required
• Minimum one year experience in acute care hospital setting required
• Must have worked in acute care setting within past 12 months as Registered Nurse in specialty area
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Professional certification preferred
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and use proper body mechanics
• Must use standard precautions due to exposure to blood and bodily fluids
