Opportunity:

RN - ED

Job Details:

• Work a varied schedule in the Emergency Department
• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document nursing care of patients according to organizational policies and professional nursing standards
• Complete patient assessments including physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge planning needs
• Review patient history and physical with patient/family within appropriate timeframes
• Monitor diagnostics and laboratory data, reporting abnormal results to physicians and caregivers
• Formulate and implement individualized plans of care including discharge planning
• Provide direct patient care, coordination, delegation and supervision of healthcare team activities
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure continuity of care
• Document all assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation activities in patient records
• Participate in education, orientation and mentoring of facility personnel and students
• Must possess current valid RN license in Colorado or compact RN licensure
• BLS certification required
• Minimum one year acute care hospital experience required
• Experience in acute care setting within past 12 months as Registered Nurse in specialty area required
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Professional certification preferred
• Physical demands include ability to lift up to 75 pounds and respond quickly to patient care needs
