Opportunity:

RN - PCU

Job Details:

• Varied work schedule with opening availability
• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document nursing care of patients in Progressive Care Unit
• Complete patient assessments including physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, and cultural needs
• Formulate and implement individualized care plans based on patient-specific needs and assessment data
• Provide direct patient care, coordination, delegation and supervision of healthcare team activities
• Review patient history, diagnostics and laboratory data, reporting abnormal results to physicians
• Evaluate patient and family response to care and teaching, revising care plans as needed
• Document all nursing activities in patient records in accordance with policies and standards
• Delegate appropriately and provide nursing supervision to other licensed nurses and personnel
• Participate in multidisciplinary team collaboration and discharge planning
• Maintain clinical performance competencies and participate in continuing education
• Must possess current valid RN license in state of practice or compact licensure
• BLS certification required
• Minimum one year acute care hospital experience required
• Experience in acute care setting within past 12 months as Registered Nurse required
• Bachelor's degree and professional certification preferred
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and respond quickly to patient care needs
• Must use standard precautions due to exposure to blood and bodily fluids
