Opportunity:

RN - PCU Observation

Job Details:

• Work in Progressive Care Unit with observation patients
• Varied work schedule with flexible scheduling options
• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document comprehensive nursing care
• Monitor patients' physical, psychological, social, spiritual, and educational needs
• Review patient history, diagnostics, and laboratory data
• Formulate and implement individualized care plans including discharge planning
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare team members
• Provide direct patient care, coordination, delegation and supervision
• Document patient assessments, interventions and responses in medical records
• Educate patients and families on care plans and treatment protocols
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and professional development
• Required certifications: Current RN license and BLS certification
• Minimum one year acute care hospital experience required
• Must have worked in acute care setting within the past 12 months
• Bachelor's degree and professional certification preferred
• Physical demands include lifting up to 75 pounds and standing/walking frequently
• Must demonstrate clinical performance competencies appropriate to specialty area
