RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work with a varied schedule in the Progressive Care Unit
• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document nursing care of patients
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments including physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge planning needs
• Formulate and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary team
• Review patient history, diagnostics, and laboratory data and report abnormal results to physicians
• Provide direct patient care, coordination, delegation and supervision of healthcare team activities
• Document assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in patient records
• Evaluate patient progress towards goals and expected outcomes
• Delegate appropriately and provide nursing supervision to other licensed nurses and personnel
• Participate in unit shared leadership and quality improvement activities
• Must possess current, valid RN license in state of practice or compact RN licensure
• BLS certification required
• Minimum one year acute care hospital experience required
• Experience in acute care setting within the past 12 months as a Registered Nurse in specialty area
• Must maintain clinical performance competencies appropriate to work area
• Bachelor's degree and professional certification preferred
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and use proper body mechanics for patient care
• Must use standard precautions due to exposure to blood and bodily fluids
