RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work in emergency department with varied work schedule
• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document nursing care in accordance with organizational policies
• Provide direct patient care including assessment of physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, and cultural needs
• Review patient history and physical with patient/family and ensure completion within appropriate timeframe
• Review diagnostics and laboratory data and report abnormal results to physicians and caregivers
• Formulate and implement plan of care including discharge planning utilizing assessment data
• Delegate appropriately and provide nursing supervision to other licensed nurses and personnel
• Document assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in patient records accurately and timely
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to provide comprehensive patient care
• Participate in unit shared leadership and education of facility personnel
• Must possess current valid RN license in state of practice or compact RN licensure
• BLS certification required
• Minimum one year experience in acute care hospital setting required
• Must maintain clinical performance competencies appropriate to emergency department
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Professional certification preferred
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and use proper body mechanics
• Must use standard precautions due to exposure to blood and bodily fluids
