RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work varied schedule including weekends and holidays
• Float per department guidelines as required
• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document nursing care for patients
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments including physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge planning needs
• Formulate and implement individualized plans of care in collaboration with multidisciplinary team
• Review patient history, diagnostics and laboratory data, reporting abnormal results to physicians
• Provide direct patient care, coordination, delegation and supervision of healthcare team activities
• Document all nursing activities in patient records in timely, legible manner according to policy
• Evaluate patient and family response to care and teaching, revising care plans as needed
• Participate in education, role development, and orientation of facility personnel
• Interact with staff at all levels, physicians, patients, families and external contacts
• Current valid RN license in state of practice or compact licensure required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum one year acute care hospital experience required
• Experience in acute care setting within past 12 months as Registered Nurse in specialty area required
• Bachelor's degree and professional certification preferred
• Must maintain clinical performance competencies through annual validations
