RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work in an ICU setting with a varied work schedule
• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document nursing care for ICU patients
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments including physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge planning needs
• Review patient history and physical with patient/family within appropriate timeframes
• Monitor diagnostics and laboratory data, reporting abnormal results to physicians and caregivers
• Formulate individualized plans of care including discharge planning based on assessment data
• Implement care through direct patient care, coordination, delegation and supervision of healthcare team activities
• Provide care based on physician orders and nursing plans in compliance with policies, procedures and regulatory requirements
• Evaluate patient and family response to care and teaching, revising plans as needed
• Document assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in patient records
• Participate in unit shared leadership and education of personnel, patients, students and families
• Provide supervision and direction to licensed and non-licensed personnel
• Must possess current valid RN license in state of practice or compact RN licensure
• BLS certification required
• Minimum one year acute care hospital experience required
• Experience in acute care setting within past 12 months as Registered Nurse in specialty area required
• Bachelor's degree and professional certification preferred
• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds and use proper body mechanics for patient assistance
• Requires adequate hearing, visual acuity, fine motor skills and eye-hand coordination
