RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Opening with varied work schedule
• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document nursing care of patients
• Utilize specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills for patient care
• Assess patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, and developmental needs
• Formulate comprehensive plans of care including discharge planning
• Implement care through direct patient care, coordination, delegation and supervision
• Evaluate patient and family response to care and teaching
• Document assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in patient records
• Provide care based on best evidence available and participate in research activities
• Supervise licensed and non-licensed personnel in care delivery
• Interact with multidisciplinary teams, physicians, patients, families and external contacts
• Nevada RN license required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum one year acute care hospital experience required
• Must have worked in acute care setting within past 12 months as Registered Nurse in specialty area
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Professional certification preferred
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and use proper body mechanics for patient transfers
• Must demonstrate clinical performance competencies appropriate to work area
