Opportunity:

RN - Cardiac Cath Lab

Job Details:

• Work five 8-hour shifts per 7-day work week, Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• Call responsibilities required (schedule to be determined based on staffing as this is a new service)
• Some weekends may be required (schedule to be determined based on staffing)
• Perform circulate, scrub and hemodynamic monitoring duties for diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures
• Conduct interventional radiology procedures, holding area procedures, and imaging department nursing care support
• Provide patient care, assessment, and instruction before, during, and after procedures
• Manage moderate sedation for patients undergoing procedures
• Prepare and maintain all pertinent procedure-related information
• Work with EPIC charting system
• Utilize radiographic equipment as requested or assigned
• Minimum 2 years nursing experience in cardiac cath or interventional radiology required
• Experience with moderate sedation required
• Demonstrate clinical competence in basic cardiac physiology/pathology and 12-Lead EKG interpretation
• Knowledge of physiologic monitoring, intra-cardiac pressure waveforms, and pacemaker operations
• Current Alaska Registered Nurse license required
• CPR and ACLS certification through AHA required
• PALS or ENPC certification through AHA required within 6 months of hire
• Dress code: Scrubs
• Complete service partner orientation and department-specific training program
