Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts in a 31-bed medical-surgical unit
• Manage individualized, goal-directed nursing care using the nursing process and primary nursing principles
• Follow nurse-to-patient ratios per national standards
• On-call availability required as needed
• Required certifications: Active Alaska RN license, Heart Saver AED, BLS (must be AHA)
• Minimum 3 years of medical-surgical experience with strong critical thinking skills
• Experience with EPIC charting required
• Work with equipment including Meditech, OBIX, and Pyxis Supply Stations
• Scrubs provided by facility
• Complete 3-day training for Meditech and OBIX systems plus unit-specific orientation
• Must complete medication testing within first two weeks of assignment
• Provide care in accordance with departmental and hospital policies and standards of nursing practice
• No floating to other units required
