Opportunity:

RN - Adult OR

Job Details:

• Primarily circulate for cases in all surgical services including Level 1 trauma procedures
• Perform laparoscopic and endoscopic procedures, total joints and ortho trauma
• Handle specialty neuro procedures including craniotomies
• Work with various equipment including lasers, endoscopic and laparoscopic equipment, robotics
• Utilize electronic nursing documentation systems
• Cover 21 operating rooms with 1:1 nurse to patient ratio
• May work various shifts to meet staffing needs but will remain in OR (no floating to other departments)
• Call required
• Receive 1-2 weeks orientation within the department
• Minimum 3 years OR experience required
• Current Georgia nursing license or compact license required
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• Experience in ortho, neuro, and especially craniotomy procedures required
• Experience in academic facility preferred
• Recent Level 1 or Level 2 trauma experience required
• Previous travel experience preferred
• Outstanding organizational and communication skills required
• Must speak, read, and write English
• Computer skills needed for documentation
