Opportunity:

RN - PACU

Job Details:

• Provide skilled nursing care to patients in preoperative and postoperative phases
• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional status on admission and post-surgery
• Develop and implement individualized patient care plans based on assessment data
• Monitor patients for early signs of complications and provide immediate interventions
• Deliver comfort, reassurance, and education to patients and families throughout perioperative experience
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and interdisciplinary team members
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes according to facility policies
• Maintain safety, cleanliness, and readiness of pre/postoperative care areas
• Participate in quality improvement, safety, and risk management initiatives
• Serve as a resource for new staff and contribute to team learning
• Associates Degree in Nursing required (BSN preferred)
• 6+ months of RN experience required; PACU, preop, postop, or critical care experience preferred
• Active RN License, BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Strong critical thinking and patient assessment skills required
• Ability to respond effectively in emergency situations
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills needed
• Competence with electronic health records and Microsoft Windows required
• Physical demands include lifting/moving up to 30 lbs regularly, 40 lbs occasionally, and up to 100 lbs in rare cases
• Frequent standing and walking with occasional reaching and fine motor activities
