RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Provide direct and indirect patient care in emergency care setting with minimal supervision
• Demonstrate ability to triage safely, rapidly and accurately for every patient entering the emergency system
• Perform head-to-toe assessments on patients of all ages including neonatal, pediatric, adolescent and geriatric patients
• Monitor hemodynamic status and interpret cardiac monitoring results, identifying dysrhythmias and treating appropriately
• Prepare, hang, monitor and discontinue IV fluids, medications and blood/blood components
• Assist physicians with emergency department procedures
• Maintain accurate nursing documentation including patient histories, conditions, treatments and responses
• Work regular hours including call hours and weekends as required
• Graduate from accredited school of nursing required
• Current registered nurse licensure in New Mexico required
• Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of hire
• ACLS certification required or must obtain within 6 months of hire
• PALS certification required or must obtain within 6 months of hire
• TNCC and/or ATCN certification preferred
• Adhere to dress code with neat and clean appearance
• Wear identification while on duty
• Position requires lifting up to 50 pounds maximum weight
• Physically demanding, high-stress environment with exposure to blood, body fluids, and communicable diseases
