Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

Nuclear Medical Technician - Nuclear Med Technician

Job Details:

• Work Monday through Friday from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM
• Rotating call every 3rd weekend in Janesville, WI (Saturday only 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM)
• Graduate of an accredited nuclear medicine program required
• CNMT or ARRT(N) certification required
• AHA BLS certification required
• Perform nuclear medicine procedures and related techniques to produce diagnostic images
• Prepare patients for procedures and provide instruction to minimize anxiety
• Apply principles of nuclear medicine safety to minimize risk to patients and staff
• Operate nuclear medicine equipment and associated equipment
• Position patients and equipment to demonstrate anatomic areas of interest
• Perform venipuncture and maintain venous access
• Prepare and administer radioactive isotopes with correct dosing
• Evaluate images and data for technical quality
• Document nuclear medicine safety incidents and adverse events per protocol
• Use radiology information systems including PACS
• Complete all required records, reports, and image archiving
• Document all procedure information in electronic medical record
• Order radiopharmaceuticals through vendor specific protocols
• Assist with PET services as needed
