Allied Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Ultrasound Tech - Ultrasound Tech

Job Details:

• Operate medical imaging equipment that directs high frequency sound waves to anatomy for diagnostic purposes
• Choose correct settings and direct patients to move into positions that offer the best view for imaging
• Consistently obtain high quality imaging for Radiologist interpretation
• Prepare patients for ultrasound examinations and other special procedures as directed
• Consult with radiologist for exam review prior to patient discharge
• Provide ultrasound guidance for attending physicians in special procedures
• Troubleshoot techniques with respect to machine malfunction and notify Clinical Engineering when needed
• Verify orders and patient identification with two established identifiers
• Utilize full operation of ultrasound units and probes
• Obtain adequate imaging of requested anatomy with correct labeling of body part and viewing plane
• Demonstrate knowledge of PACS (Picture Archive Communication System) and ability to utilize the system
• Send images after hours when required
• Show competence within EPIC system
• Perform high level disinfection of endocavity probes per policy
• Maintain accurate patient records for all procedures performed while maintaining patient confidentiality
• Adhere to all HIPAA standards
• Up to 16 hours of orientation is unpaid
• Travelers living within 50 miles of facility will receive $10/hr lower local rate
• Facility can cancel up to 3 shifts per 13 week contract

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
