RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Provide clinical nursing care for perioperative patients using the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis formulation, planning interventions, and evaluation
• Circulate in all specialty areas including Orthopedics, ENT, GYN/OB, General, Ophthalmology, and Dental
• Scrubbing experience highly encouraged
• Work varied and odd hours when on call with preparation for emergency cases on short notice
• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing required
• Two years of clinical nursing and/or operating room practical experience required
• Valid RN license from any state accepted (Arizona license not required)
• Required certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 6 months of hire
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required within 6 months of hire
• Certified Perioperative Nurse (CNOR) certification required within 1 year of hire
• Trauma Nurse Core Courses (TNCC) required within 2 years of hire
• Orientation provided every 2 weeks
• Limited shared housing available at $600 per month based on availability (no family or pets allowed)

This JCAHO accredited health center serves a 4,400 square mile area and functions as a referral center for the western part of the Navajo and Hopi Reservations. The 73-bed hospital provides comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services including emergency care, dental and ophthalmology services, orthopedics, OB/GYN, oral surgery, eye surgery, and urological procedures. Approximately 49% of surgeries performed are outpatient/ambulatory procedures, supported by a diverse medical staff including surgeons, specialists, and comprehensive nursing teams.
