RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Perform a variety of nursing care procedures requiring professional knowledge and consideration of specific patient conditions and treatments
• Work independently in completing assignments following physician's orders, standards of care, nursing policies and procedures manuals, and hospital policies
• Provide nursing duties and support to individuals of all ages and their families
• Must have at least 2 years of experience working as a nurse in an acute or sub-acute facility
• Valid, current, full and unrestricted Nursing License to practice nursing in any state of the United States of America, The Commonwealth of Puerto Rico or a territory of the United States required
• Required certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association
• Complete Trauma Care After Resuscitation - TCAR within six months of hire
• National Institutes of Health (NIH) NIHSS - NIH Stroke Scale must be completed within 6 months of hire
• Orientation occurs every 2 weeks
• Housing application must be submitted 2 weeks prior to start date
• Limited housing options available with shared housing units at $600 per month based on availability - no family or pets allowed in housing

Facility:

This JCAHO accredited health center provides services to a 4,400 square mile area and serves as a referral center for the western part of the Navajo and Hopi Reservations. The hospital was constructed in 1975 with a bed capacity of 73 beds. Services provided to the community include comprehensive inpatient/outpatient emergency services, dental and ophthalmology services, orthopedics, OB/GYN, oral surgery, eye surgery and urological procedures. Approximately 49% of the surgeries performed are outpatient/ambulatory surgical procedures. The facility maintains a diverse medical staff including surgeons, general medical officers, internal medicine physicians, psychiatrists, pediatricians, family practice physicians, obstetricians, ENT specialists, orthopedic surgeons, and urologists, along with comprehensive dental and nursing staff.
