RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Lead the perioperative team in facilitating patient throughput
• Ensure adequate staffing and coordinate efficient surgical schedule flow
• Act as a preceptor and assist in orientation process of new team members
• Combination of direct patient care responsibilities and administrative functions
• Work directly with Surgical Services Manager to provide oversight, supervision, and scheduling
• Assist in maintaining, developing, and enhancing surgical efficiencies
• Support surgeons, anesthesia providers and patient flow
• Responsible for initiation, revision and/or discontinuation of surgical preference cards
• Perform standard surgical nursing functions as needed
• Must have Cerner EMR experience
• Minimum 2 years OR experience required
• Minimum 2 years leadership experience required
• Experience with orthopedic, general surgery, gynecology, ophthalmology, ENT surgical procedures and interventional pain management required
• Gastroenterology/Endoscopy Lab experience desired but not required
• Required certifications: Colorado RN license, AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, CNOR, CRNFA
• Basic computer knowledge required (Microsoft Office, electronic health record)
