RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Adult Stepdown

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM
• Scheduled for 36 hours per week following first week of orientation
• No guarantee of hours
• Function as Flex RN floating between various medical and surgical units
• Float to Medical Unit, Laulima Unit, and Cardiovascular Unit on rare occasions
• Nurse to patient ratios: Medical 1:6 for days and evenings, 1:8 for nights; Laulima 1:6; Cardiovascular 1:4 (ratios may vary due to unexpected leaves)
• Work with equipment including Meditech EMR, Pyxis, wound vac, and chest tubes
• 2-10 years of experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
• Preferred certifications: PALS, Procedural Sedation, TNCC, ENPC
• Hawaii nursing license required by start of assignment
• Professional nursing attire required - clean scrubs
• Must arrive Thursday before start date for employee health appointment on Friday
• Unit orientation time provided for each assigned unit

This medical center operates multiple specialized units including a 77-bed Medical Unit, an 18-bed Laulima surgical acute unit, and a 15-bed Cardiovascular Unit. The organization provides thorough orientation programs for each unit and maintains professional standards for patient care across all departments.
