Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Ultrasound Tech - Vascular Ultrasound Tech

Job Details:

• Provide ultrasound services timely and efficiently at appropriate levels to all patients
• Verify patient and procedural information and prepare patients for exams
• Educate patients and family members about procedures
• Perform ultrasound examinations and communicate results to physicians
• Review computer generated information to determine if images are satisfactory for diagnostic interpretation
• Use safety measures and protection devices to comply with government regulations
• Explain procedures and observe patients to ensure safety and comfort during scan
• Operate ultrasound imaging equipment to produce images for diagnostic purposes
• Position and immobilize patients on examining table
• Monitor patients' conditions and reactions, reporting abnormal signs to physician
• Set up examination rooms ensuring all necessary equipment is ready
• Stock, prepare and clean exam rooms and transport patients
• Maintain clinical competencies through participation in educational programs
• 3 years of clinical experience in ultrasound required
• Certification required: American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
• Basic Life Support (CPR) certification required
• Must be graduate from approved Joint Review Committee of Radiologic Technology or Sonography program
• Will not accept applicants with any disciplinary action
• Ability to speak, read and write English required
