RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Provide professional nursing care based on current nursing knowledge through Emergency Nurses Association (ENA) standards
• Work with neonate through geriatric age population using nursing process assessment and care planning
• Subject to scheduled on-call assignments as needed due to community events influencing Emergency Department patient volumes
• Triage every patient entering emergency care system and determine care priorities
• Perform hourly rounding in department and half-hour rounding in waiting room when patients are waiting
• Document in-depth nursing history including chief complaint and health care status
• Develop and implement care plans based on ongoing assessments with continuous updates
• Manage all types of complications and emergencies per facility policies and ENA standards
• Implement health education for patients and families including discharge teaching
• Preference given to candidates with EPIC Computer Charting Experience
• Current Pennsylvania RN licensure required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS (all American Heart Association standards)
• Valid National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Strong verbal, non-verbal, and written communication skills essential
• Must demonstrate high level of mental and emotional tolerance with professional attitude
