Allied Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

Diagnostic Imaging - Radiologic Technologist

Job Details:

• Work mid/second shift schedule with 5x8 hour shifts per week
• Every 3rd weekend rotation required
• Graduate of accredited School of Radiologic Technology required
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• ARRT Radiography registration required
• IEMA-DNS radiography accreditation required if working in Illinois
• Approved CPR or BLS certification required within 90 days
• Perform diagnostic radiographic, portable, c-arm and fluoroscopic procedures
• Review patients' clinical history and ensure appropriate orders are placed
• Provide patient education and position patients for optimal imaging
• Select and operate imaging equipment, image capture devices and accessories
• Determine radiographic technique and exposure factors following ALARA principles
• Apply radiation protection principles to minimize exposure to patients and staff
• Process images and review for proper identification and quality control
• Use radiology information systems including PACS and complete required documentation
• Operate mobile radiologic equipment in operating room, emergency room, or at bedside
• Assist radiologist in fluoroscopic and special x-ray examinations
• Prepare contrast media and assist in administration
• Provide instruction and expert training to new technologists
• Expert level knowledge of electronic medical record, PACS, and imaging equipment required
