RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 8-hour shifts with rotating schedule: 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM, or 11:00 AM - 7:30 PM
• 40 hours per week guaranteed
• Weekend coverage and call are voluntary
• 2 years prior Operating Room experience required
• Provide professional nursing care based on AORN Standards and Recommended Practice for Perioperative Nursing
• Care for pediatric through geriatric age population using nursing process
• Develop and implement perioperative care plans in holding area, operative suite, and post-operative settings
• Maintain sterile field and aseptic technique throughout surgical procedures
• Monitor patient health status changes and direct appropriate care for patient safety
• Apply principles of surgical technique, electrical/chemical/laser safety, and positioning
• Document patient interactions and changes in care plans appropriately
• Provide preoperative patient and family education
• Must complete in-house 6-month Operating Room course upon hire
• Required certifications: Pennsylvania RN license, BLS, and ACLS (renewed every two years)
• BSN preferred but completion of accredited registered nurse program required
