RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Peds Adult

Job Details:

• Must have active Alaska RN license at time of submission
• Must obtain flu vaccine
• Must be willing to work both Day and Night shifts as necessary
• Must be able to float between Med/Surg/ED/ICU as required
• 2 fingerprint cards required to be submitted upon acceptance
• Must live at least 50+ miles away from facility address
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS on hire, TNCC/ATCN and NRP within first 6 months
• One year clinical nurse experience preferred
• Prior specialty area experience preferred
• Must complete all mandatory training and competency checks
• Coordinate and perform nursing care procedures for patients of all ages
• Make independent clinical decisions during scheduled shifts
• Provide supervision and delegation of CNA/Tech staff
• Administer age-specific medications and therapeutics
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and documentation
• Participate in patient care conferences and educational programs
• Attend at least 50% of departmental staff meetings
• Comply with dress code requirements
• Knowledge of medical equipment operation including defibrillators, monitors, EKG machines, ventilators
