Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Diagnostic Imaging - Radiologic Technologist

Job Details:

• Prepare patients for radiological examinations and explain procedures in understandable terms
• Perform diagnostic procedures as ordered by physicians in an accurate and timely fashion
• Review requests and evaluate orders for appropriate exams and diagnosis
• Position patients correctly for examinations and take appropriate views
• Operate CR, Fluoro and DR rooms safely and efficiently
• Operate CR readers and printers with proper start-up and shut-down procedures
• Transfer images to PACS, scan documents and route appropriately
• Assist Radiologists during fluoroscopic and special procedure examinations
• Move portable radiographic equipment throughout Emergency Department, Operating Room, PACU and Nursing departments
• Use proper sterile technique during operating room and radiology department procedures
• Prepare and administer IV and oral contrast media as needed
• Document patient symptoms, history, imaging limitations, date, time and technologist initials in PACS
• Maintain radiation safety practices consistent with ALARA standards
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and staff
• Perform quality assurance duties and clerical functions as assigned
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Completion of ARRT-approved specialized training program in Radiological Technology required
• One year of experience performing radiological procedures preferred
• ARRT registration in Radiology required
• American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
