RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Must have EPIC experience as facility is transitioning from Meditech to EPIC with 5/30 go-live date
• Strong pre and post operative background required
• Provide professional nursing care based on current Ambulatory Care standards, ASPAN, and AORN guidelines
• Focus on preoperative and pre-procedure care along with post-operative and post-procedure care
• Care for broad range of outpatient services including medical and oncology patients, procedure patients, surgical patients, blocked patients, emergency/inpatient add-on cases, Phase II recovery, and gastroenterology patients
• Use nursing process through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for neonate through geriatric age population
• Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Pennsylvania
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (all American Heart Association standards with required renewals every two years)
• Completion of accredited registered nurse program required
• EKG course completion preferred
• Must understand ASPAN and AORN standards of care
• Ability to recognize cardiac arrhythmias and life-threatening emergency situations
• Critical thinking skills required for fast-paced environment
• Strong verbal, non-verbal, and written communication skills required
