Allied Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

Nursing - PCU

Job Details:

• Provide care to hemodynamically stable or predictably unstable patients on medical/surgical unit
• Care for diverse patient populations including pediatrics, pre and post PCI care, pacemaker, revascularization, carotid endarterectomy, thoracotomy, CHF, COPD, DKA, renal failure, DVT, PE, sepsis and surgical patients
• Operate advanced medical equipment including A-lines, invasive lines, chest tubes, patients requiring noninvasive and invasive ventilatory support
• Care for patients with central lines, chest tubes, nasogastric tubes, continuous bladder irrigation, arterial lines, multiple IVs and patients requiring short term ventilation support
• Provide physical, emotional, spiritual and cultural support to patients
• Collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective patient care delivery
• Act as clinical leader and assist with precepting staff
• Provide direct care from admission to discharge including discharge planning
• Give directions to RN, LPN, CNA, Housekeeping Staff, and Dietary Staff
• Complement Medical Surgical Nursing Unit when staffing actions are required
• Current Montana RN licensure required
• BLS, ACLS, PALS certification required or obtained within 6 months of hire
• EPNC, TNCC certification preferred
• Basic cardiac telemetry and EKG interpretation skills required
• Pediatric experience preferred
• Experience in post heart catheterization preferred
• Ability to manage common IV medications including Heparin, Diltiazem, Dobutamine, Milrinone, Amiodarone, Dopamine
