Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Ultrasound Tech - Ultrasound Tech

Job Details:

• Work under supervision of ultrasound supervisor to assist radiologists and physicians in achieving diagnostic scans
• Provide patient care activities for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients
• Must be registry eligible with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography
• Six months experience preferred working in ultrasound performance
• Perform ultrasound examinations utilizing proper established procedures
• Obtain and review pertinent patient history and clinical data
• Produce, assess, evaluate and interpret ultrasound images for medical diagnosis
• Document and record all statistical information and maintain record keeping requirements
• Operate PACS system for patient information retrieval and image management
• Maintain ultrasound logs containing patient information and exam data
• Perform quality assurance and infection control programs
• Inspect equipment for electrical and mechanical hazards
• Take rotation on-call schedule as assigned by supervisor
• Carry beeper for 24-hour availability and respond in timely manner
• Stock ultrasound labs with equipment, linen, and required supplies
• Adhere to HIPAA rules and protect patient rights and privacy
• Confirm two forms of patient identification before performing examinations
• Must be able to lift and move supplies up to 25 pounds
• Must be able to stand approximately 2 hours per day and sit for periods exceeding 3 hours
• Must be able to push/pull equipment up to 600 pounds on wheel casters
• Attend continuing education to maintain professional competency
