Allied Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Diagnostic Imaging - Radiologic Technologist

Job Details:

• Perform diagnostic radiographic, portable, c-arm and fluoroscopic procedures
• Review patients' clinical history ensuring appropriate orders are placed and labs are within range
• Provide patient education and instruction
• Select and operate imaging equipment, image capture devices and accessories
• Position patients to best demonstrate anatomic area of interest while respecting patient ability and comfort
• Determine radiographic technique and exposure factors following ALARA principles
• Apply radiation protection principles to minimize exposure to patient, self, and others
• Process images and review for proper identification and quality control
• Use radiology information systems including PACS and complete required records and reports
• Document all information pertinent to procedures in electronic medical record
• Operate mobile radiologic equipment in operating room, emergency room, or at patient's bedside
• Assist radiologist in fluoroscopic and special x-ray examinations
• Prepare contrast media and assist in administration
• Provide practical instruction for radiography students and partners
• Graduate of accredited School of Radiologic Technology required
• Minimum 2 years experience required
• ARRT Radiography registration required
• IEMA-DNS radiography accreditation required for Illinois work
• CPR or BLS certification within 90 days required
• Expert level knowledge of electronic medical record, PACS, and imaging equipment required
