RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Circulator OR

Job Details:

• Work as a circulating nurse in the operating room providing optimal patient care throughout the surgical experience
• Evaluate and complete patient assessments to provide supportive care before, during, and after surgery
• Maintain accurate and complete patient records and documentation
• Identify actual and potential risks to patients and staff, taking action to minimize or eliminate risks
• Ensure proper supplies, instruments, and equipment are available and functioning properly for procedures
• Observe sterile techniques in preparing for and assisting with surgical procedures
• Operate and troubleshoot specialized equipment and patient monitoring equipment
• Perform defibrillator and other critical equipment checks
• Administer drugs, IV procedures, and other therapeutic measures safely and accurately
• Ensure informed signed consents are completed prior to sedation administration
• Maintain and clean equipment and supplies including disinfection procedures
• Supervise personnel in assigned area and direct nursing activities for surgical procedures
• Label specimen containers and prepare specimens for laboratory
• Participate in performance improvement programs and quality studies
• Attend continuing education offerings and staff meetings to remain current with surgical specialties
• Associate's Degree from accredited nursing school required (Bachelor's preferred)
• Minimum one year of surgical experience required
• Current Colorado RN License required
• Current BLS certification required
• Current ACLS/PALS certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire
• Current CNOR and AORN professional affiliation preferred
