RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Must be currently licensed to practice as an R.N. in the State of Colorado
• At least two years experience in critical care nursing preferred
• Specialty certification for specialty areas preferred
• BLS and ACLS certifications required upon hire
• ENPC or PALS required within 6 months (ENPC preferred)
• TNCC required upon hire or within 1 year
• Provide professional nursing care for assigned patients in the emergency room
• Triage each patient and determine priority of care based on physical, psychological and social needs
• Manage patient flow through the emergency care system with crucial time management skills
• Responsible for moving patients, taking blood samples, cleaning and bandaging wounds
• Administer medications and maintain proper supplies
• Perform focused assessment of chief complaints of each patient in a timely manner according to established triage guidelines
• Carry out patient care according to hospital policies and procedures functioning within the limitations of the Nurse Practice Act
