Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available

Opportunity:

Diagnostic Imaging - Special Procedures Technologist

Job Details:

• Assist physicians and advanced practice providers with minimally invasive, image-guided procedures in routine and emergency cases
• Operate specialized imaging equipment for procedures including injections, angiography, biopsies, tube placements, and thrombolysis
• 2 years of experience required with specific experience in neuro IR cases and GI embolization cases
• Must hold R.T.(R) certification by ARRT OR advanced credentials: R.T.(VI), R.T.(CV), R.T.(CI), or RCIS
• Maintain sterile environment throughout procedures and ensure patient safety
• Complete patient chart reviews, verify exam orders, and validate reasons for examinations
• Interview patients regarding medical history, implanted devices, and contrast allergies
• Provide pre- and post-procedure patient care including education and discharge instructions
• Monitor vital signs and watch for adverse reactions during procedures
• Adjust, maintain, and operate imaging equipment following applicable guidelines
• Manage supplies and equipment, retrieve medications as requested by providers
• Administer contrast under radiologist supervision when applicable
• Implement radiation protection techniques following ALARA guidelines
• Maintain accurate records in clinical documentation systems and manage imaging data in PACS
• Document procedures in EMR and ensure proper image storage and retrieval
• Respond to emergency situations and provide Basic Life Support when needed
• Work closely with radiologists and healthcare team members
• Subject to downstaffing with 36/48 hours notice during 13-week contract based on weekly schedule
