Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available

Opportunity:

Cath Lab Technologist - Cath Lab Tech

Job Details:

• Work 4x10 hour day shifts with 36 guaranteed hours per week
• 13-week assignment length
• Provide highly technical professional care to patients undergoing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in the Cardiac Catheterization/Special Procedures Lab
• Assist physicians with procedures and operate technical equipment during all procedures
• Prepare room and equipment, instruct patients, monitor patient condition, and provide routine and emergency patient care
• Function with minimal supervision and contribute to positive department atmosphere
• Provide 24-hour on-call coverage and respond within 30 minutes when required
• Handle emergency situations during high-risk procedures with calm, professional demeanor
• Operate sophisticated procedural equipment including x-ray camera, procedure table controls, image processing equipment, hemodynamic monitoring equipment, ultrasound machine, and power injector
• Work within team environment and interact professionally with physicians and team members
• Required certifications: RCIS or ARRT certification and registration, ACLS, BLS
• 2 years significant Cath Lab experience preferred
• Must be HIPAA compliant and able to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
• Care for patients across age groups from adolescence through geriatric populations
