RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work under limited supervision providing direct patient care for Med-Surg patients
• Plan, direct, and evaluate total nursing care as directed
• Work rotating shifts, weekends and holidays as scheduled
• Current Iowa licensure as a Registered Nurse required
• Minimum of 2 years acute care experience required
• Healthcare Provider BLS certification required
• ACLS certification preferred
• Mandatory Abuse Reporter Certification within 6 months of hire
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English well
• Wear appropriate apparel for the position and display nametag
• Administer medications and intravenous solutions skillfully and correctly
• Maintain standards of accurate and complete recording and reporting
• Perform documentation in patient records accurately, concisely and in timely manner
• Demonstrate effective communication skills
• Support and enforce infection control policies and procedures
• Participate in orientation and in-service training
• Work independently with limited direct supervision
• Attend meetings and in-services as required
• Maintain professional patient confidentiality at all times
