RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work under limited supervision providing comprehensive nursing care in the Emergency Department
• Plan, direct, and evaluate total nursing care for emergency patients
• Work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as scheduled
• Provide direct patient care including medication administration and IV solutions
• Maintain accurate and complete documentation and reporting
• Assist Med-Surg and other departments as needed with patient care and STAT orders
• Participate in orientation and in-service training programs
• Maintain confidentiality and professional standards in high-stress hospital environment
• Wear appropriate apparel and display nametag
• Required certifications: Healthcare Provider BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC
• Must have Mandatory Abuse Reporter Certification
• Current Iowa RN licensure required
• Must demonstrate effective communication skills and ability to prioritize workload
• Support infection control policies and remain resourceful and calm during emergencies
• Coordinate with other shifts for continuity of care and maintain positive relationships with all departments
