Mammo Tech - Mammo Tech

Job Details:

• Responsible for daily operation of the women's health section of radiology
• Perform all mammography exams based on Imaging Department Protocols or protocol with Radiologist
• Demonstrate advanced knowledge of mammography imaging procedures
• Practice radiation safety adhering to ALARA standards
• Complete daily QA and preventative maintenance scheduling
• Maintain appropriate records for all accreditation processes and inspections
• Verify exam orders and identify patients through two means of identification
• Review and document patient medical history and obtain required informed consent
• Maintain accurate patient records in EHR including charging procedures and supplies
• Troubleshoot equipment problems and call service engineers when needed
• Assist with clerical duties, phone reception, and patient transportation when required
• Demonstrate flexibility by adjusting schedules and taking calls, overtime, or holiday shifts as needed
• Must be self-motivated with ability to work with minimum supervision
• Required certifications: ARRT registration in Radiology (R) and Mammography (M), current BLS certification
• Must be graduate of accredited Radiologic Technologist program
• Two years prior experience as practicing Radiologic Technologist required
• Cross-training in other modalities including CT, MRI, and DEXA preferred
• Must adhere to organizational dress code and maintain strict patient confidentiality
