Allied Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available

Nursing - PCU

Job Details:

• Work day shift in Progressive Care Unit/Step Down unit
• Provide care to hemodynamically stable or predictably unstable patients on medical/surgical unit
• Care for diverse patient populations including pediatrics, pre and post PCI care, pacemaker, revascularization, carotid endarterectomy, thoracotomy, CHF, COPD, DKA, renal failure, DVT, PE, and sepsis patients
• Operate advanced medical equipment including arterial lines, invasive lines, chest tubes, multiple IV pumps, and ventilatory support equipment
• Care for patients with central lines, chest tubes, nasogastric tubes, continuous bladder irrigation, arterial lines, and multiple IVs
• Manage patients requiring short-term ventilation support
• Perform basic cardiac telemetry and EKG interpretation
• Manage common IV medications including Heparin, Diltiazem, Dobutamine, Milrinone, Amiodarone, and Dopamine
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to ensure effective patient care delivery
• Act as clinical leader and assist with precepting staff
• Provide direct patient care from admission to discharge including discharge planning
• Give directions to RN, LPN, CNA, Housekeeping, and Dietary staff
• May complement Medical Surgical Nursing Unit when staffing actions are required
• Current Montana RN license required
• BLS, ACLS, PALS certification required or obtained within 6 months of hire
• EPNC, TNCC certification preferred
• Pediatric experience preferred
• Post heart catheterization experience preferred
