RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

RN - Perioperative

Job Details:

• Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care across all phases of the surgical experience including pre-operative, intraoperative, and post-anesthesia recovery
• Function in multiple roles including circulator, scrub nurse, and PACU nurse with opportunities for cross-training
• Participate in on-call rotation requiring one night per week and every fourth weekend
• Must respond and be ready to begin a case within 30 minutes when on call
• Minimum of two years of perioperative experience required
• Current Vermont or multi-state RN license required
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing required
• Adhere to AORN standards and participate in surgical safety processes including time-outs
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and interdisciplinary team members
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure patient safety throughout surgical procedures
• Travelers will start on Wednesdays
• During orientation week, 48-hour contract travelers guaranteed 36 hours due to midweek start
