Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. MRI Tech - MRI Tech

Job Details:

• Work schedule consists of 2 x 12-hour shifts and 2 x 8-hour shifts per week
• Weekend and call rotation required
• May be required to work flexible hours, alternate shifts, and weekends as necessary
• May be required to flex hours/shift as needed to support department needs
• Perform MRI procedures and related techniques to produce diagnostic images for physician interpretation
• Prepare patients for procedures and provide patient instruction to obtain desired results
• Apply principles of magnetic resonance safety to minimize risk to patients, self, and others
• Select and operate magnetic resonance system, surface coils, physiologic gating devices, and associated equipment
• Position patients and equipment to best demonstrate anatomic areas of interest
• Select appropriate pulse sequences considering established protocols and data acquisition parameters
• Perform venipuncture, start and maintain venous access
• Prepare and administer contrast media
• Assist physicians with interventional procedures
• Practice aseptic technique and observe universal precautions
• Evaluate images and data for technical quality
• Use radiology information systems (including PACS) and complete all required records and reports
• Provide basic life support action when necessary
• Graduate of an accredited radiography program required with education verification
• Experience as an MRI Technologist required
• ARRT Radiography registration required
• ARRT MRI registration required
• Approved BLS certification required
