Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available

Opportunity:

Echo Technologist - Echo Tech

Job Details:

• Work day shifts performing diagnostic ultrasound procedures
• Perform stress echos, transesophageal echo, 2-D echo with M-mode, color flow, and cardiac doppler
• Conduct cardiovascular diagnostic tests including EKGs, Event Monitor applications, Cardiac Monitor applications, Pulmonary Function Tests, Lower Extremity Doppler Studies, and Stress Testing
• Record procedure data in patient charts and EMR systems
• Immediately inform physicians of life-threatening test results
• Clean and disinfect cardiology equipment and accessories
• Handle supply inventory, clerical duties, and patient transport as needed
• Supervise and instruct students and precept new employees
• Participate in monthly cardiovascular meetings and CQI programs
• Maintain CPR certification and perform CPR as needed
• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Vascular/Echocardiography from accredited institution required
• CCI or ARDMS registered cardiac sonographer or registry eligible required
• CPR certification required
• One to two years of echocardiography technician experience preferred
• Must pass competencies including rhythm recognition
• Physical demands include lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally and up to 25 pounds frequently
